Description: H. 53cm, depth 41cm, diam. at shoulder 15.7cm. Rough, buff, pale cream clay. Pointed base, long bifid handles and a rounded rim. Incised line around the neck, otherwise no markings.
Date: First century B.C. to the mid second century
Discussion: Amphorae of this type were produced in large numbers during the Graeco-Roman period, this shape serving primarily for the storage and transportation of wine. For shape see H.
