| Description: |
H. 10.7cm, diam. at rim 16.1-17cm. Surface chipped. Hairline cracks and white encrustation to the left of the handle. Handle and area at its base worn. White slipped hemispherical bowl with a horizontal, wishbone handle. Brown painted decoration. Plain interior. A band of short dashes around the outside of the rim below which are two horizontal cross-hatched bands separated by a line of joined diamonds. Vertical cross-hatched and partially cross-hatched lines of varying length and thickness extend from the lower horizontal band towards the reserved base. Opposite the handle the row of joined diamonds and the lower band are bisected by a panel comprising three vertical cross-hatched bands separated by two vertical lines of three joined diamonds. Handle: bands around the bases. Upper surface decorated at intervals with groups of oblique lines. Single lines extend along the under side and cross beneath the apex. Small circle at the apex. |
