My dear Elphinstone,

I take the liberty of sending to you for your consideration, & of recommending to you the content of the cont[ain]’d Paper, as it is a matter in which I feel myself much ______ as it relates to Mr. Farquhar the Son of my old friend Sir Walter Farquhar; I am confident that you will do everything that is proper concerning it, & not the less so when you are acquainted how anxious I feel myself for this young Gentleman’s success; I hope you are fully aware how sensible I am of your affections upon all occasions, & how truly I ever hold with the highest of possible regard, Carlston House.

Your very sincere friend, George R.
